3 Joyous Events Happening Around Pullman This Holiday Season

With the holidays upon us, it’s a time of giving, receiving, and experiencing the joy of togetherness. So, in the spirit of the season, evolve on Main is bringing you three fun-filled events and activities to help you create some special holiday memories this year.

Cougar Athletics

There's something charming about walking the Washington State University campus during the holidays. The quiet calm. The way the holiday lights reflect off the snowy ground. Winter is a lovely time of year in Pullman. And during the peaceful holiday break, it's easy to forget that Beasley Coliseum and Bohler Gym are still hosting thrilling WSU basketball and volleyball games. Check the WSU Athletics page or game times, text some friends, throw on some Santa hats, and go cheer on our beloved Cougs!

Pullman Winter Market

There’s plenty more holiday fun to be had around campus, too. Pullman Farmers Market is once again setting up the Pullman Winter Market right around the corner at Brelsford WSU Visitor Center. Starting Saturday, Nov. 20, and continuing every third Saturday of the month until April, this local favorite of WSU events will be open from 10 AM - 2 PM. Stroll the stalls, peruse a variety of hand-crafted items and tasty treats, and take care of all your holiday gift purchases at this charming one-stop shop.

Holiday Movies at the Movies

From It’s a Wonderful Life to Die Hard, movies have become as big a part of the holiday season as turkey dinners and mistletoe. And while there’s a time for watching your favorite holiday film curled up on the couch, why not embrace the spirit of the season and take in a classic film at the cinema? As part of Flashback Cinema program, Village Centre Cinemas are showing the holiday favorite National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation on Dec. 5 and 8. If you’ve never seen this comedic gem, or you’ve never seen it on the big screen – ‘tis the season!
